A Climate Conversation Podcast .

Welcome to our podcast in support of A Climate Conversation, a documentary that seeks to foster an honest dialogue on climate change—its causes, its impact, and a science-based cost/benefit analysis of its potential solutions.

In this edition of our podcast we discuss the state of play in early childhood education about climate change. It’s a wildly asymmetric reality: the US educational infrastructure and leadership is virtually 100% left-leaning, doctrinaire, and ever vigilant about any contrary opinion whatsoever. On this topic, woke is no joke.

Barely a third of fourth graders can read or do math at grade level, according to the latest national scores, but climate activists are demanding kids hear about global warming in every subject. California, New York and Oregon are considering mimicking New Jersey’s “every class is a climate class” curriculum.

A poll by Fairleigh Dickinson University of 400 geologists, climatologists, meteorologists and other scientists found that 41% do not believe global warming will cause “significant harm during our lifetimes.” A majority doubt we’re facing a significant increase in severe weather, though that is what teachers are telling kids. Teachers are warning kids the Maui fire and smokey air that blanketed parts of the United States due to Canadian forest fires were caused by global warming.

This podcast will introduce Floyd Trujillo’s first of its kind ABCs book for children. The book is wonderfully illustrated and filled with fun for kids while it shows them the vital role that fossil fuels play in making virtually everything in their classroom possible. Floyd is a conservationist with a career in the oil and gas industry who has lived the balance between nature and fossil fuels.

Topics include:

  • How Floyd’s personal biography inspired him to write this book

  • What damage may be being done to America’s children by indoctrinating them into climate alarmism vis a vis a more balanced view

  • How is the climate “religion” similar to other orthodoxies of race and gender

  • How the book provides crucial information to kids about the world they live and the role fossil fuels play in their everyday lives

  • What the appointment of fellow Coloradan Chris Wright as Secretary of Energy may mean for American families

  • How Floyd’s book is aligned with A Climate Conversation

In December of 2018, Greta Thunberg told us that we have stolen her dreams and her childhood, and it does appear that perhaps someone did. But given that none of the dire predictions that she believed then have come true, while in fact humanity has continued to flourish, the real problem may be creating a climate of fear among the children of our country.
