A Climate Conversation Podcast

Welcome to our podcast in support of A Climate Conversation, a documentary that seeks to foster an honest dialogue on the subject of climate change—its causes, its impact, and a science-based cost/benefit analysis of its potential solutions.

James Taylor is president of The Heartland Institute and the founding director of Heartland’s Arthur B. Robinson Center for Climate and Environmental Policy. Taylor has presented energy and environment analysis on every major television network in the United States, and at conferences in America and Europe. He also organizes Heartland’s International Conferences on Climate Change.

James is the real deal when it comes to climate and public policy. He received his bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College, where he studied atmospheric science and majored in government and his law degree from Syracuse University.

Bryce is joined by Walt Johsnon, brainchild and executive producer of A Climate Conversation. A son of the West, Walt is a geophysicist and fifth-generation Coloradan, and is keenly interested in bringing realism and the scientific method to the debate about climate. Walt is particularly interested in bringing the scientific method to the discussion about human-caused climate change, its potential impact and proposed solutions.

Objective truth is the main topic of conversation in this podcast. James and Walt will examine various claims made by alarmists and politicians and provide undisputed facts that show much of what we hear is the opposite of truth.

This podcast continues our conversation about climate policy's cost/benefit equation. Those costs go far beyond the hundreds of trillions of dollars required to meet the demands of the alarmist’s policy prescriptions.

Other topics include:

  • Are life’s luxuries, like chocolate and wine, disappearing?

  • Europe is beginning to question alarmism at the ballot box

  • The IPCC narrative is coming under new scrutiny

  • The truth about global crop production

  • The correlation of support for immigration and energy transition

  • The long history of catastrophes that have not happened

  • The irony of Big Tech’s alarmism as AI demands huge amounts of electricity

  • The human flourishing that always seems to come with freedom

The Heartland Institute addresses a wide range of public policy issues in areas of education, environmental protection, energy, health care, and the rise of socialism, and in all of these areas works to promote, protect, and defend freedom. The United Nations, abetted by too many American politicians, uses energy policy to promote socialist doctrine. We are grateful to the Heartland Institute for its assistance in the making of our film, and more broadly, for its efforts to protect the freedoms we enjoy as Americans.
